Hello

Hi, I'm Sarah! I graduated from Queen’s University with a major in Film Studies and a minor in English Language and Literature.

Shortly after graduating, I moved to Japan to work as an English instructor. That experience led me to a fulfilling role as an Area Manager for an international school in Tokyo, where I deepened my connection with the culture and everyday life in Japan.

Travel has always been a passion of mine, and I love helping others make the most of their adventures. My goal is to take the stress out of planning so you can truly enjoy your trip. Japan has so much to offer, and I’d be thrilled to be a part of your journey.

Top Three Travel Tips

1. Get a Japanese Phone Number
Many restaurants and services in Japan require a local phone number for reservations or access. Fortunately, affordable short-term SIM cards are widely available and can be returned at the airport before departure, making it a convenient option for travelers.

2. Use a Small Suitcase or Coin Lockers When Shopping
Tokyo is a sprawling city, and carrying bags around all day can quickly become exhausting. Bringing a small suitcase can make things much easier—most train stations are equipped with elevators or escalators. Alternatively, coin lockers at stations are a great way to store your shopping and travel hands-free.

3. Save Money by Ordering Takeout
In Japan, there’s often a price difference between dining in and taking food to go. Many visitors don’t realize this, but if you’re looking to cut costs, simply ask for your coffee or meal “to go” and enjoy some savings!
